Brighton Town Hall Wedding Venue
Brighton Town Hall is an iconic, historic venue perfectly suited for a relaxed Brighton wedding. From the grand architecture of the Council Chamber (perfect for small to medium wedding ceremonies) to the intimate charm of the Regency Room (ideal for elopements!), it’s a versatile spot for couples who want a stylish city ceremony. As a local photographer, I love the 'Brighton vibe' here - it’s just a stone’s throw from the Lanes and the seafront, making it ideal for natural, candid couple’s photos after you say 'I do'!

Choosing Your Ceremony Room at Brighton Town Hall
Having photographed several weddings here, I’ve seen how well the different spaces work for different vibes. Here is a quick guide to the rooms available:
The Regency Room (The Regency Suite): It’s light, elegant, and holds up to 46 seated guests. It even has a central aisle for that traditional 'walking down the aisle' moment and a feature fireplace that’s perfect for a few indoor portraits (if the rain comes). After your ceremony you immediately step out into the city centre under a barrage of confetti!
The Floral Room: A real hidden gem for microweddings. It’s incredibly intimate, holding just the couple plus 4 guests. It’s filled with antique chairs and floral paintings - perfect for a quiet, meaningful exchange of vows.
The Fitzherbert Room: If you have a slightly larger group than the Floral room but still want an intimate feel, this room seats up to 10 people. It features a stunning heart-shaped Venetian mirror that looks great in candid shots.
The Council Chamber: Located on the second floor, this is the grandest option for larger weddings of up to 80 guests. It’s a spectacular, unique space with curved seating and a real sense of history.

No Reception? No Problem! Since Brighton Town Hall is a ceremony-only venue, it’s the perfect excuse to embrace the city. After your ceremony and the iconic 'front step' confetti photo, we can take a short stroll to:
The Lanes: For those colourful, bustling city-life shots.
Brighton Seafront: Just minutes away for some relaxed portraits along the beach or by the pier.
Local Pubs & Restaurants: Most of my couples head to a nearby venue in the Lanes for their reception, which allows for a seamless transition from 'I do' to the party.
